Thermal Imaging

Heat tells the truth surfaces hide — moisture, delamination, overloaded circuits, and failing cells, mapped in temperature-calibrated infrared.

What this service covers

Our radiometric thermal payloads record absolute temperature per pixel — not just pretty heat colors. Flown at the right hour with the right emissivity settings, they expose building heat loss, roof moisture, solar panel hotspots, and electrical faults before they become failures.

Every survey ships with calibrated thermograms, anomaly locations, and severity-ranked findings your contractors can price directly.

  • Building envelope heat-loss and insulation gap surveys
  • Roof moisture intrusion mapping for flat and low-slope roofs
  • Solar farm hotspot, diode-failure, and soiling detection
  • Electrical substation and switchgear thermal screening
  • Search, wildlife, and night-operation thermal overwatch

Who books this flight

Energy auditors, roofers, solar O&M teams, utilities, and property owners chasing leaks — of heat, water, or money — that visual inspection cannot see.

What's Included

Beyond the Visible

01Calibrated capture

Emissivity, reflected temperature, and flight timing set per surface — because bad settings make bad thermograms.

02Anomaly mapping

Hotspots and cold patterns located on RGB reference imagery, so crews find them on the first visit.

03Severity ranking

Findings triaged by temperature delta and risk — fix-now faults separated from watch-list patterns.

04Auditor-grade report

Methodology, conditions, equipment calibration, and imagery an energy auditor or insurer can stand behind.

"The thermal pass found fourteen failing cells our IV-curve tests hadn't flagged. The warranty claim wrote itself."

Process

From Heat to Action

01

Set the physics

Surface types, timing, and weather windows chosen so the delta-T tells the truth.

02

Fly the pattern

Slow, overlapping thermal grids with RGB reference frames for every anomaly.

03

Analyze deltas

Certified thermographers separate real faults from reflections and thermal mass.

04

Report & verify

Ranked findings plus optional re-flights after remediation to prove the fix.

FAQ

Thermal Questions

When should a thermal survey fly?+

Usually pre-dawn or after sunset, when solar loading fades and defects stand out. Solar arrays are the exception — they fly under load at midday.

Can thermal see through roofs or walls?+

No — it reads surface temperature. But moisture, missing insulation, and overloaded circuits all change surface temperature in recognizable patterns we map precisely.

Are your thermographers certified?+

Yes. Analysis is performed by ITC-aligned certified thermographers, and reports carry their credentials for audit and warranty use.

Find it before it fails.

Thermal surveys cost a fraction of the failures they prevent. Book this season's flight window.
